About Us
Embodied Psychiatry was founded by LaVeta Jarrett, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience in psychiatric care, medication management, and ketamine-assisted therapy in Wichita, KS. LaVeta built Embodied Psychiatry on a simple but powerful belief: that mental health care should be ethical, collaborative, and rooted in deep respect for the whole person — not just the diagnosis.
More Than a Practice — A Philosophy of Care
Grounded in shared values. Focused on whole-person healing.
Embodied Psychiatry brings together evidence-based clinical expertise and compassionate, individualized care with one clear purpose: to help people heal, grow, and thrive.
Our mission is to provide care rooted in authenticity, ethics, and collaboration — where treatment plans are integrated, not fragmented, and where each person's voice matters. We see you as a whole person — your mind, your body, your history, and your goals — not simply a set of symptoms to be managed.
